THE SHABAAM SAHDEEQ STORY
Shabaam Sahdeeq is a hip hop icon embedded in the industry since signing to Rawkus Record in 1996. Hip hop enthusiast remember the excitement behind the label's inception. It gave hip hop a new life. The roster had a crazy talented line up! Shabaam was featured on the iconic "Soundbombing I and 2 that featured Bahamadia, Talib Kweli & Mos Def as Black Star, Eminem, Common and Sadat X to name a few.
Shabaam received an honorable mention as one of the first features for Eminem in his autobiography for the track Five Star Generals. He created a reputable catalog over the years with favorites like "Keepers of the Lost Art" album and "Arabian Knights" 12 inch single . A big moment in his career was on Pharoahe Monch "Simon Says" (remix) when he featured along side, Busta rhymes, Red Man and Lady Luck. You can also find Shabaam featured on renowned Lyricist Lounge Volume 1.
In 1998, Sahdeeq collaborated with DJ SPinna, Mr Complex and Apani B to form the hip-hop collective Polyrhythm Addicts, a supergroup renowned for its pivotal role in the explosion of late 1990s indie hip-hop. The single "Not Your Ordinary: gained a positive critical and commercial reception, which paved the way for their first album, Rhyme Related, released in 1999, and widely regarded as a hip-hop classic. After this success, the group disbanded to focus on their individual careers but returned in 2007 to drop another album "Break Glass" featuring a new member Tiye Phoenix.
Shabaam has been an avid contributor to hip hop culture for decades. He created & hosted the "It's Alive" showcases, as well as various events throughout New York City and other states including Atlantas A3C, & Austin Texas’s SXSW. He also toured extensively throughout the states as well , as Europe & South east Asia.

Shabaam has maintained longevity by creating fresh, innovate and competitive music. Fans worldwide are heavily locked in with this living legend. Recent works such as "Timeless of The Collection", "Precious Stones" and "Cabin Fever" are instant classics. He is currently working on fresh content that will be released soon.
Not only is Shabaam Sahdeeg a remarkable lyricist, but he's also a magnificent artist whose paintings have been showcased extensively over the years. for the last few years, he has had an exhilarating exhibitions featured at Art Basel in Miami. He is the founder of Marvial Entertainment and his clothing line Marvial Apparel.
